Create a Token

What you set up when you launch a token, and what you are responsible for afterwards.

Launching a token on Hypad takes a few minutes. You choose a network and token type, fill in your token's details, and set the launch options the platform offers.

What you can set up

Depending on the token type you choose and the options available, you can configure:

  • Your token's name and symbol. Names are unique on Hypad, so you can't reuse an existing token's name.
  • Its image and description.
  • Links to your project, such as its website and socials.
  • The token type and any reward settings that come with it.
  • Any other launch settings the app shows you.

Steps to launch

  1. Choose a network

Pick the blockchain to launch on. See Supported Networks.

  2. Choose a token type

A standard token, or a reward token that shares part of its transaction tax with holders. See Holder Rewards.

  3. Add your token's details

Name, symbol, image, description and project links.

  4. Launch

Review everything and confirm in your wallet. Creating a token costs $0.50, plus the network's gas fee.

Once it's live, your token trades on the bonding curve and you hold its Creator NFT.

Your responsibilities as a creator

You're responsible for the information and materials you submit when you launch. You're also expected to give accurate information about your project and to take responsibility for developing and running it.

Ownership of your project

Your project's ownership is held in a Creator NFT. Whichever wallet holds it receives the creator trading fees and holds the project's ownership position, as set out in the platform's smart contracts and terms.

You can transfer or sell the NFT. Whoever receives it takes on the rights and responsibilities that come with it, within the platform's rules and the permissions set in the contracts. See Creator NFT.
