Getting Started

Why Hypad

How unique token names and transferable project ownership tackle copycat and abandoned launches.

Token launches run into the same problems again and again: abandoned projects, misleading information, and new tokens that reuse an existing token's identity. Hypad takes a more structured approach to creating and owning a token to tackle some of these.

Token names are unique

Hypad doesn't let a new token reuse the name of an existing one. That cuts down on confusion and makes it harder for someone to launch a copy under the same name as an existing Hypad token.

Ownership lives in an NFT

Every token launched on Hypad comes with a Creator NFT that represents the project's ownership. Whoever holds the NFT receives the trading fees set aside for the project's creator.

Because the NFT can be transferred or sold, ownership and the rights that come with it can pass to someone new. A project isn't tied to its original creator forever.

Projects can outlive their creators

If a creator steps away, a new NFT holder can take over the ownership position and carry on developing the project, within the rights and permissions the platform sets.

A growing ecosystem

Hypad plans to add more features and incentives as it grows:

The idea is to reward participation, so that creators, traders and communities all benefit as activity grows.
